Bah.

This is what I don't like about the way i do my finances.

All but one of my creditors in done online. I can go online, pay my bill, there's no additional fee, no mailing delay, no need for a check. Well, all but two if you count my student loan in there. Which I suppose I could do online, I just haven't explored the possibility yet.

So, I don't really use the checks in my checkbook. I use them for three things: Paying my folks the rent every payday, and paying two bills. Everything else I do online.

I *was* going to move the last credit card to online bill pay, also. Then I found out they charge a fee for that. The other creditors? No. Only if you pay over the phone. This last? Yep. $10, iirc. I've only dont this once so far, mainly because of the fee. Incidentally, this is the same company that charges the yearly fee. Figures.

The downer is that I'm almost out of checks. I only use about 4 checks a month, and since I'm not going to be spending money in every-day matters, I won't really be using the checks. Not enough to warrant buying a full box, anyway. Which means I will still have checks when I change my first and middle names at the end of the month.

It's not all bad, though. Right now I have enough checks for the next 4 months, providing nothig unexpected comes up. It can wait a bit. It's just annoying.

Maybe I should wait until next year to change it, then? Something to think about, anyway.
