Ah, taxes

Well, taxes are done for the year. My business taxes are, that is.

I file sales and use tax in three states - MN, IL and PA. At the moment, PA is filed bi-annually, though, so I shall have to file that one again later this year.

Regardless of this, it is nice to have it done and out of the way. Then again, it is also nice that I remembered to file this year. Most states have a filing date of mid-January, maybe mid-February at the latest. I have a tendency, usually, to miss this deadline. Not this year!

My main concern with having taxes that I collect in three states is how it will affect a web site's setting, once I actually get around to having one. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with customer attempting to by-pass that portion. I'm not quite sure how taxes work for web-sales. Not on the vendor's side, anyway. Customer side? No problems. :j

Meanwhile, I am eagerly awaiting my W2's, and the statement on my student loan interest, so I can file my personal taxes and get those done and out of the way. Mainly because then I wouldn't have to worry about them until next year.
